Best Facial Surgery Procedures for Youthful Skin

In 2025, the field of plastic surgery is focused on achieving subtle and natural results through the use of cutting-edge technologies. These emerging trends in aesthetics are worth watching if you are interested in exploring new techniques.

The trend of using large breast implants is giving way to smaller, more natural enhancements. Patients now prefer smaller sizes, such as B or small C cups, for breast reductions or augmentations.

When it comes to breast enhancements, Motiva implants are gaining popularity for their ability to provide a natural look and feel. Patients appreciate the teardrop shape of these implants, which mimics natural contours.

Beauty treatments like PRP and PRF injections, as well as fat transfers, are becoming increasingly popular due to their natural approach to combating the signs of aging.

Advancements in technology, such as Crisalix and VECTRA 3D Imaging, allow patients to visualize the potential outcomes of surgical procedures before undergoing any surgery. This helps both patients and surgeons to make well-informed decisions.

Combination procedures, like pairing breast augmentation with a lift or combining a facelift with eyelid surgery, are on the rise. These comprehensive approaches provide optimal results and save time and money.

Facial procedures offer effective solutions to refresh and rejuvenate your appearance by addressing concerns like sagging skin, wrinkles, and loss of volume. Explore the various options available to achieve a more youthful look.

Some popular facial procedures include facelifts, Botox injections, dermal fillers, and chemical peels. Facelifts are surgical procedures that tighten and lift the skin on the face and neck, giving a more youthful appearance. Botox injections help reduce the appearance of wrinkles by relaxing the muscles that cause them. Dermal fillers can add volume to areas that have lost fullness, such as the cheeks or lips. Chemical peels use acids to exfoliate the skin and improve its texture and tone.

It’s important to consult with a qualified cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist to discuss your goals and determine the best treatment plan for you. They can help you understand the risks and benefits of each procedure and create a personalized plan to help you achieve your desired results.

Facial rejuvenation can be tailored to individual concerns and anatomical features. Treatments may include rhinoplasty for nose reshaping, blepharoplasty for improvements in eyelids, facelifts for rejuvenating the lower face, and neck procedures for fat removal and muscle tightening.

**Fat Transfer**

By performing liposuction on one area of the body, such as the thighs or abdomen, fat is then transferred to add volume or regenerate facial features. Common enhancements with fat transfer include the cheeks, temples, under the eyes, lips, and along the jawline. This approach helps restore heart-shaped faces and youthful fullness.

**Brow Lift**

For the upper face, a brow lift procedure smoothens wrinkles on the forehead and lifts drooping brows. Endoscopic brow lifts involve small incisions made behind the hairline. Some surgeons perform this procedure solely through incisions on the scalp, lifting the brows and forehead tissues for a fresh, rejuvenated look.

**Dermal Fillers**

Dermal fillers or fat transfers can discreetly restore volume to the cheeks. Enhancing the cheeks creates a lifted appearance, restoring the heart-shaped form of a youthful face. Injectable fillers offer a temporary effect, while fat transfers provide longer-lasting results.

The best facial rejuvenation plan takes into account cosmetic goals, budget, health, age, skin type, bone structure, and other factors. During a detailed consultation, a surgeon will evaluate issues such as loose skin, wrinkles, or facial volume loss. Measurements will be taken, and computer-generated images may be utilized to preview potential outcomes. The surgeon will recommend procedures based on the necessary steps to achieve optimal facial rejuvenation.

Younger patients under 40 often seek minor corrections, such as eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, or injectable fillers. Those over 40 usually require more extensive surgeries, like facelifts or neck lifts with fat transfer to address significant sagging. Patients with thin skin, minimal fat, and strong bone structure benefit from surgical lifts and implants. Individuals with thick skin, excess fat, or weak bones respond better to fat transfer and fillers.

Recovery time is also a crucial consideration. Procedures like brow lifts, eyelid surgery, and rhinoplasty require approximately 1-2 weeks off work. Full facelifts, neck lifts, or fat transfers involve 1 to 3 weeks of recovery. Combining multiple procedures simultaneously offers overall facial rejuvenation with a single recovery period.

Facelifts are often described as something that rejuvenates you, lifting the skin and underlying structures of your face upwards – the kind of enhancement you might notice when lying down and looking at yourself in the mirror. All facial volumes are settled, making you resemble a version of yourself from the past.

The procedure that accomplishes this is the traditional facelift. This procedure involves incisions around the ears and a true elevation to defy gravity – tightening muscles and skin – improving the face shape, cheeks, and, if focused on the neck, also lifting and eliminating sagging. Studies suggest that a full facelift can make you look 7-15 years younger. This is an excellent operation that we perform here at W Cosmetic Surgery with great satisfaction – frequently.

Most people seek to avoid facelifts. After all, it’s a surgical procedure with incisions, high costs, and recovery time, potentially looking like one of the Real Housewives from any reality TV show. Before investing in a facelift, you might consider alternative facelift procedures that bring aesthetic benefits. While they don’t directly address gravity effects, they produce other changes – tightening and brightening – that make you look rejuvenated.

Here are the procedures that, in my opinion, bring benefits – along with those that, in my opinion, don’t work.

Many of our patients don’t have the opportunity to take off work or don’t want to undergo extensive incisions and spend money on recovery, as required for a facelift – typically three weeks. We have several alternatives that we endorse and support enthusiastically to make you feel younger. Many of these procedures can be performed in-office.

Improving your skin, making it radiant and glowing, contributes to a youthful appearance. Remember the flawless skin seen in youth, free of wrinkles and color deviations like spots and sunspots? Laser treatments or deep chemical peels (like the Hetter peel) can achieve this. A variety of lasers, including fractional CO2, erbium, and thulium lasers, can make your skin remarkably beautiful in just a few sessions.

The procedures are relatively painless and require 5-7 days of recovery. We have the ULTRACLEAR® cold erbium laser, one of the most exciting new lasers on the market, which rejuvenates the skin and offers minimal downtime.

Radiofrequency energy applied to the skin can tighten the skin and help alleviate sagging, wrinkles, and bags. We have two microneedling devices in the office: Morpheus8® and Intracel®.

The energy is delivered through microneedles that puncture the skin after numbing. Recovery time is minimal, and the effects accumulate over time. Three to four procedures are typically recommended. The firming you see is not as dramatic as a facelift, but it works well, especially when sagging is still in the early stages.

Do you know how a deflated ball looks wrinkled and saggy? Pumping it up produces inflation— the ball rises in space. Dermal filler injections, especially structurally strong fillers, can be strategically placed in the face near the ligaments that have sagged to give a lift in specific cases, especially if you are young and your skin has not lost elasticity.

The filler lasts up to two years in some cases and can be useful for lifting the cheeks and improving sagging in the jawline, as well as addressing wrinkles on the neck. We don’t really believe you would get much effect from a filler if you’re not very young, where the benefits of a slight “lift” with filler can disguise minimal hollows.

Radiofrequency energy can be introduced under the skin’s surface to tighten the skin. Procedures like Facetite®, Thermitight®, and Renuvion® all utilize an energized wand under the skin’s surface to tighten underlying ligaments and reduce fat. Each of these procedures can be performed in the office using three tiny incisions and local anesthesia.

We have experience with Thermitight and currently prefer Renuvion®, which improves wrinkled skin and tightens the jawline. Recovery time with this procedure is approximately 7 days.

Is there a way to lift your face and tighten sagging without requiring an incision on your face? Yes, there is.

The Natural Micromidface Lift procedure, performed with incisions in the temples, is a facelift in the sense that your face is lifted, but with less recovery time and a confirmed longer-lasting benefit. Recovery time after this procedure is approximately 7 days.

It rejuvenates the upper and middle part of the face and lifts the chin. If you look in the mirror and lift your cheeks, you will see a noticeable improvement around the eyes, cheeks, and chin area, as well as see a better jawline. This procedure provides precisely that result – a lift of the cheeks that enhances appearance, all without facial incisions.

Our least favorite face lift alternative

The facelift I disagree with is the so-called thread lift. The main principle is that threads inserted into your face lift it and stimulate your skin to produce collagen, which benefits in the fight against aging. They are performed in the office and, as you age, your skin loses elasticity and density in the face and cheeks areas. Wrinkles appear, as well as sagging skin in the neck and chin area.

To combat the signs of aging, many women turn to plastic surgery for rejuvenation. There are several cosmetic procedures that can help revive the skin, improve your appearance, and boost self-esteem. Before deciding on plastic surgery, it is worth exploring the available options. At the initial consultation with your surgeon, he should offer solutions to your problems. Armed with information about them, you can discuss all the details with the doctor. Ready with questions, you can make the best choice.

There are three main types of plastic surgeries for rejuvenation and skin improvement:

  • Facelift
  • Neck Lift
  • Dermal Fillers Injections

The facelift is considered the most popular plastic surgery procedure for rejuvenation. Some believe the result of this procedure can make your face look 10-20 years younger. It is most effective for patients with sagging skin and excess fat in the lower part of the face.

Similar to a facelift, the neck lift is used to improve the appearance of the skin on the neck. This is a good option for patients who are not ready for a full facelift.

Leading surgeons consider procedures like dermal fillers as plastic surgery. Using dermal fillers such as Botox, Juvederm, or Radiesse, can effectively help you look younger. These injections allow you to improve the skin in various ways.
